Organizational Culture. Culture is something every organization strives to have that is known and realized by all who enter the building. A great culture is felt by every employee, leader, and customer as tangible, and palpable.
What is Culture? I know in the many organizations I have worked with; those that have a great culture speak of it often, and highly. Those who do not have a culture of greatness really do not know that the word exists. Leaders of a toxic, or poor, culture simply know “something is wrong; we need help," they just do not know why.
It’s Culture. Culture defines your work environment. Culture defines your mission, vision, and strategy. Culture aligns and strengthens your people. Even if you are an engaged and energizing leader, you may un-knowingly join an organization with a poor culture (or, you may knowingly do so). A culture that has been toxic for many years is difficult to turn around. It can be done, one process, person, and policy at a time!
